1st updates on 1/100 Char's Zaku II

Was a bit slow figuring out a way to have the body modification, some more got distracted watching X-Men: first class while doing Gunpla. 

Taken out the body part, main objective as stated in previous post, I was planning a movable waist and lower torso, thus a 3 parts modification, the chest,waist and lower torso groin part.

The all in one body portion.chest,waist and groin part connected in 2 parts. worst old kits doesn't have male/female connector like Bandai kits today. While going thru the detail of the part, found out that this kit was in fact made in 1982 and not 1979...my bad for the misinterpretation in previous post

First, I cut out the chest part using drilling method and hacking it with modelling saw, Hasegawa's saw is always my preferences as it has inverted teeth like saw making the process fast and accurate.

The outstretched chest which look pretty bulking and funny for ZakuII, which knock-out most of the feddies warship.

using a 3 way connecter and some platube made a simple connection for the waist and the head part.
The exposed side are covered up with pla-plate and the are connecter are replaced with a spare parts from my stash. Notice the pla tube in the middle of the chest ? its connected to the ball joint inside, but it will be covered when I install the cockpit hatch.

Basically, the chest is 70-80% done and planing to do some small detailing, so the next phase will be the waist in the next installment. till then....Have a nice day
